No matter how many devices you have that connect to the internet, you’ve got some kind of home network. Also known as a LAN or local area network, it allows your home devices to “talk” to each other, sharing and receiving information.

Wired Network Installation

This is the most common home network configuration. Ethernet (Cat6) cabling connects your router to key devices throughout your home such as PC's, printers, TV's, game consoles, and access points (WiFi antenna).  We will run the cabling safely, securely, and discretely around your space utilizing attic and crawl spaces.

Wireless Mesh Systems

A more modern and less intrusive option using 'nodes' - small devices that plug into a wall outlet - are strategically placed throughout your home to maximize coverage without running any wires. The devices are small and stylish, but these systems have some limitations depending on what kind of devices you are connecting to your network.

We install Google Home, Nest, Orbi, eero, AmpliFi by Ubiquiti, Linksys Velop, TP Link, and other major brands.

If you need coverage over a large outdoor area, or want to extend your network to another part of your property like a garage, shed, barn, or cottage apartment without burying or hanging wires, we may be able to offer you a solution. Our systems have a range of up to 5 miles away under certain conditions, so the sky’s the limit!

  • Slow or no WiFi signal in certain areas or the entire home
  • Certain devices won’t connect to WiFi
  • Network suddenly disappears from available networks list
  • Forgot password
  • Want to get rid of generic default network name and password
  • Set up a special network just for guests

You’ve likely heard terms such as “firewall,” “encryption,” and the like. These security measures ensure that your data or devices aren’t hacked. ProLink technicians are trained to provide solutions to problems you likely wouldn’t even be aware of — like using your devices to attack web servers without your knowledge.

A wireless assessment is an analysis of your current wireless installation that looks at specific environmental, architectural and configuration factors that impact the performance and functionality of your system.

We will schedule a technician to come to your property and gather as much information about your system as possible. They will need access to your modem or router, any extenders or antenna you may have, and your WiFi password. We evaluate more than just coverage: we will look at RF interference, your typical device load, capacity/throughput, security, and more.

After the assessment, we will provide you with a detailed report of your current system performance and any recommendations we may have to improve or upgrade your WiFi experience.
